Online Practices Privacy Policy

The Online Practices Privacy Policy explains how we may collect information from you online when you visit Votaw Aviation.

The Online Practices Privacy Policy, effective as of January 17, 2008, is for general guidance and subject to change. Please review periodically.

Browsing our site

The only way you can browse the site is anonymously. There is currently no way for you to login and provide any information.

Cookies and Similar Files

In all cases we do not place cookies on your computer.

Cookies are pieces of information stored directly on the computer you are using.

  • Web Browsing Cookies. Cookies used for Web Browsing can contain a variety of information, such as a simple count of how often you visit a Web site or information that allows customization of a Web site for your use. Cookies could allow us to collect technical and navigational information such as browser type, time spent on our site, and the pages visited. They do not contain or capture customer specific data. We may also use cookies in online advertising to track consumer responses to advertisement. This provides us the capability to monitor the use of our site so we can continually improve the design and functionality to better serve you.

Scripting

Our website depends on scripting languages such as JavaScript to create an efficient and useable interface. If you browse the internet with scripting disabled, you will have to turn scripting on when you visit our site. However, scripting can turn on automatically for our site if you take advantage of your browser’s Trusted Sites feature. Add the votawaviation.com domain name to your Trusted Sites Security Zone in your browser and scripting will remain disabled for most of your internet browsing, but will come on automatically for Votawaviation.com.

In Internet Explorer, choose Internet Options from the Tools menu, then Security, then Trusted Sites. Select the Sites button, and add *.votawaviation.com to the list (the asterisk ensures that all Votaw Aviation sites will work as intended). For more information, you can find an article at Microsoft.com about trusted sites.

Firefox has a similar feature in an add-on called NoScript.

Collecting information

When you visit our website, we may collect the following information in order to service and better respond to your needs:

  • Application information. Information that you provide to us online in applications and other forms.
  • Identification Information. Information that identifies you such as name, address, telephone number.

How we may share information

We do not share any information with any other sources.

Changes to the Online Practices Privacy Policy

If we make changes to the Online Practices Privacy Policy or make any material changes to our online services, we will revise the Online Practices Privacy Policy to reflect such changes and revise the policy's effective date.
