Sparta Illinois is a beautiful little town just 50 miles from downtown St. Louis Missouri. The airport is located north of town and has superb facilities. Below is a picture of Hunter Field taken in late summer of 2009. It is named Hunter Field after the Hunter brothers who were instrumental in bringing aviation to this part of Illinois.
