Late into the year in the mid-west still provides plenty of great flying days, and opportunities to attend numerous Fly-Ins around the area.In September Judy Birchler ( LadiesLoveTaildraggers.com) and her sister visited and we did some loose formation flying with her Champ my Cub and Dave's Clipper!
Thats Judy and Karen on the ramp at KSAR.

The Cub and Diana attended a Fly-In at one of the countries only public grass strips in Lincoln Missouri. She met up with fellow Cubber Gary H! There were plenty of tailwheel aircraft as well as tricycle gear machines.
We were not finished for the year. The annual Eastern Tennessee Fly-In in Elizabethton Tennessee was another great stop. Bad weather kept many cubs away, but host Steve L. gave a personal tour that was outstanding.

The first weekend of October with its unusually cold and windy weather brought the first ever Mid-West Light Sport Aircraft Expo. It was held in Mt. Vernon Illinois, just a short hop from Sparta. There were loads of LSA manufactures and many exhibitors. We can't wait to attend next year.
