Part of the joy of owning a Cub is the trips it will take you on. Here are some of the photographs from the adventures of 2009. First up in June was a long weekend that started with thunderstorms, and then cleared for a beautiful afternoon flight from Sparta Illinois to Beaumont Kansas.
Next the Cub had a great week in New Holstein Wisconson. Again the trip started amongst thundershowers and early week produced a lot of rain. The weather didn't stop many cubs from making the trip and enjoying the camping and fun.
Lincoln Municipal 0R2, near Warsaw, Missouri had a fly-in in honor of the late Bart Brown and Leroy Donley. All proceeds were be used to make improvements required by the FAA and to preserve the field, as it is one of the few public grass air fields left in the state. Fly-in pilots eat free and door prizes will be available for Pilots. It was a wonderful day with lots of great flying. Many young people also got to go for their first rides with the Young Eagles program.
In October the Cub took Diana to Eastern Tennessee where her Mom lives. The weather was excellent for the flight down on Monday, it turned rainy on and off for the rest of the week. The main Fly-In was postponed until the following weekend, but Steve showed Eric, Dave and Diana a great time at some local grass strips.
